Our name is inspired by Sappho of Lesbos, whom Plato honored as the “10th Muse” for her poetry that was unapologetically intense in capturing the sensual, ecstatic, overpowering connection and desire between womxn. 10th Muses draws on Sappho's powerful honesty: to celebrate overlooked brilliance and build culture where it cannot be ignored.
Our Name
We're a social collective for queer women & nonbinary folks in NYC that curates curating culture-driven experiences centered on celebration, community, and connection. We seek to cultivate curiosity and growth, amplify queer voices, and help strangers become familiar faces. Each of us belongs, no individual more than another.
We invite you to show up as you are, build new connections, and feel the power of being surrounded by people who truly see you.
When we come together—over brunch, at the theater, on the dance floor—we celebrate our radiance, our stories, and our right to take up space. We honor our right to thrive.
